The Novatus management team spoke to the attendees about the history of the site and the company’s desire to maintain and foster a harmonious relationship with the community, and answered numerous questions posed by attendees about the wind farm’s operations, its owner, the energy industry, and future plans for the wind farm.

The Sunflower Wind Project has an installed capacity of 104 MW, utilizing 52 Vestas V-100 2.0 MW turbines on 80-meter (262 ft) towers. M.A. Mortenson Company, a North Dakota based contractor constructed the project, which began commercial operation in December 2016.
